San Francisco Bay Area Huskers Alumni Chapter

Huskers improve their Bowl position by beating Kansas State 56-28 on Saturday. Colorado Game on ABC the day after Thanksgiving at 12:30 PST.
A great time was had by all who attended the Big 12 Alumni Mixer on November 11th at Pete's Tavern. We were glad to have about 10 Huskers in the crowd as Texas provided the biggest showing. Thanks to Pete's for providing the appetizers and allowing us to have a great time. Allot of good friends were made at this event which we hope is just the first of many future Big 12 events. Thanks also to Dave Pegg and the other chapter presidents for organizing this event.



Hey Bay Area Husker Fans, A number of our local Husker fans responded to our first announcement that they would like to attend a Big 12 Alumni Mixer. There has been a change of venue for the mixer (Nov 11th (6pm – 10pm PST). To avoid a fairly healthy facility fee and minimum food order cost associated with holding the event at the Gordon Biersch restaurant, the group of Big 12 alum coordinators has decided to move the event to Pete's Tavern near AT&T Park in San Francisco. No cover or minimum charges are required and, although it appears the bar is fronting a few free appetizers, its a no-host bar. Although RSVPs aren't required, if you want to attend please contact Carl Honaker at Carl.Honaker@rda.sccgov.org or our Chapter President, Dave Pegg at davidrpegg@hotmail.com so we have a rough idea how many Husker fans may attend. Put the date on your calendar and plan to wear your best Husker duds. Hopefully we outnumber the other Big 12 groups! Well if you have found your way to this page you will have noticed that we do have a web site up and running again. The name of our web site is now BayAreaHuskers.org. Many of you may have noticed the change from our previous domain name.

We encourage anyone who wants to support the University to be a member of both organizations to maximize your Alumni benefits. You don't need to be a grad or alum to join either organization. You only need to be a friend of the University and a Husker Fan!
